Home sweet home :)

They say there is no place like home and it's so true. Even though we had a wonderful time on holiday it felt good to be home again. Nothing like your own bed and not living out of a suitcase ;)
Thank you for my cot mobile daddy :)
It sings songs of Nature, Lullaby and Classic. It also shows pictures and has a night light that shines stars against the ceiling. Keeps her pretty busy when mommy quickly has to do things around the house ;)

Of course i would say that! Starting to want to sit up more and more...but still with the help of pillows. My preggy pillow comes to more good use with that :)

Making sure we do lots of that...still only short periods of time before she gets irritated.

One afternoon while i was making dinner...she fell asleep looking at mommy cooking. 
She is such a good baby, i really can't complain. 



I got a 20% discount voucher for BabyGym at our antenatal class last year and we started Chanette's 5 weeks classes at the end of January. I took her every Friday and was allowed to take someone with me so my mom was my camera lady and helper :)
It is a wonderful program and has helped her (and me) a lot. She has also grown so much stronger and more aware of her surroundings.

Here are a few photos of her first class. There are only 4 babies per class and it's the same group of babies for the whole 5 weeks.


That is a doll...not a baby...lol! The instructor uses it to demonstrate ;)

Time is not standing still... :)

Kiara Lodge Where has the time gone! Can't believe it's been about 5 weeks since my last blog. And so much has happened since then. We had a wonderful time on holiday...it was so peaceful and simply breathtaking with the mountains around us. We just relaxed and loved every minute of it :)  25 weeks Little Chanette's cot arrived and i am so happy with it! We had to order it and waited a few weeks while they made it. My parents bought it as a gift :)  All is going well with us both! Went for a scan on Tuesday and she is growing pretty fast now. She almost reached an extra 1kg since last month. She now weighs 1819g :)  So cute and we got to see more of her little face this time, the nose, eyes and upper lip! Simply adorable haha! The day we have been waiting for and suddenly the 9 months of waiting felt like it went by so fast! I was scheduled for 7:15am to go into theater for my c-section. We were at hospital at 5am with my mom...she was such a great help! And my hubby was there next to me and with me constantly and as much as they would allow him to be! So after prepping me for theater and taking me there they did the epidural and made me lie down and it's amazing how fast it works. Within seconds i could feel it kicking in and minutes after that i could not feel my legs anymore...so weird and funny! Hehe! So it took a few more minutes before they would let Quintus in and he then came to sit at the top of my bed talking to me and keeping me calm...but i must say i was very calm and super excited to just see my little girl!
