Summertime!

My father-in-law bought a boat a few weeks back and him, Quintus and my brother-in-law has had a few "fun days" on it just fishing and relaxing! This photo was taken on one of those days. Can't wait to be able to take Chanette out on the boat!

All is well here in sunny South Africa. We've been enjoying some much needed rain, so refreshing! :) Nothing like a fresh summer afternoon rain! We have been working in our garden a bit too and things are starting to come along nicely after the cold winter months. Quintus and i went out for the morning to have a bit of "alone" time on Thursday, Chanette stayed with her granny. I must admit it felt so strange doing it for the first time...i couldn't stop thinking about her and if she's ok and i found myself walking to the baby clothing in every shop hahaha! I love her so much! It's amazing how your life changes once they are there :)


Our baby girl went for her 6 weeks injections on Monday! Oh my how awful :( she was in so much pain. The nurse let me hold her while she injected her two legs but it was so hard for me to literally see the pain and shock in her eyes! I know that all the mommies out there know how i felt. Have to take her again at 10 weeks and 14 weeks.....eek, so not looking forward to it :(

    Sounds like a wonderful start to summer! I hear ya on baby shots jus breaks your heart. Thankfully they are usually back to their happy self before too long :) loving your updates!!!

Photo update

Time seems to be something that passes by so much faster these days. I am sorry for being so quite with my blogs.  Chanette is almost 21 months and she is discovering so many new things. Talking in her own sweet way and saying so many words now. It is so cute to hear her having a conversation when she does not know i can hear her and she talks with her dolls or say all of the names she knows like "oupa, ouma, daddy, mamma....and then she says my parent's dog's name "shadow" and she names her aunties and uncles....not all of their names exactly right but she tries ;) She understands so well now and it is amazing how she looks at us and "copies" us. Just makes me realize again how big a role model we are and should be to our children. Here she is with Shadow :) The two of us on Mother's Day :) So very blessed to have my girly to share it with! xxx She simply LOVES "Winnie the Pooh's Heffalump Movie...

My favorite shots of her during autumn. This was taken about 3 weeks ago after church :) How I love these two!!! <3<3<3 They are all i have dreamed of and could ever ask for!  Thank you Lord :) i am so blessed! Looking at the leaves and birds :) She fills my heart with so much love <3 The joys of being a child :) So carefree and simply gorgeous!

Ready for church! I just love dressing her up on a Sunday! Hehe! She does not like shoes or socks on her feet and gets very irritated when I throw a blanket over her while she is still awake...no way! She needs to be asleep and then I can put it over her. She already has a mind of her own. I can see her running around without shoes in the future...oh dear lol! Just want to heat her up!!! :) Mommy loves you so much my girly!
